This concept is a collaborative effort
begun by master florists Jim Carlton and Arthur Faria.
Jim Carlton started working with
flowers while attending university. After moving to the Caribbean, he
established APPLAUSE, which quickly became the foremost flower shop in
the U.S. Virgin Islands. He numbered among his accounts all the major
resort hotels on St. Thomas and St. John. Carlton lists among his
credits numerous television commercials and print work, photo shoots for
national magazines, and two feature films.
As co-owner of TIGER LILY, Arthur Faria
has been highly praised for his award winning floral design. A New
Yorker before his move to Florida, Faria was designer for RENNY, Park
Avenue. While there, he created flower arrangements for the world famous
Plaza and Carlyle hotels, and is instrumental is bringing a fresh new
approach to the Sarasota market. Arthur has an extensive background in
theater and holds a Doctorate Degree in Fine Arts from the University of
Massachusetts at Dartmouth.
These gifted designers have established
TIGER LILY as the new standard for creative floristry on Florida's west
coast.
